Gonadotropins are non-steroidal hormonal substances that influence reproductive function by stimulating the activity of the pituitary–gonadal axis and play a key role similar to follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in high-performance sports. They help regulate natural testosterone production in men and support healthy reproductive function. Primary physiological effects include activation of the pituitary–gonadal pathway, enhanced spermatogenesis and fertility potential, absence of intrinsic anabolic or steroidal properties, and support for the development and maintenance of male secondary sexual characteristics.
